IBM TEAM WINS CONTRACT TO MODERNIZE MEDICARE CLAIMS PROCESSING
February 5 -- In a major development aimed at significantly

processing in federal health care programs, the Centers for Medicare

October 11 -- The National Imagery and Mapping Agency
selected two contractor teams led by General Dynamics Electronics
Systems and Lockheed Martin Management and Data Systems to develop
an approach to modernize the United States Imagery and Geospatial
System (USIGS). The USIGS Enterprise is a total systems architecture
designed to improve NIMA's ability to task, process, evaluate and
disseminate information.
COMPUTER SCIENCES TEAM WINS NSA COMPUTER CONTRACT
July 31 -- The U.S. National Security Agency on Tuesday
awarded a contract potentially worth in excess of $2 billion over 10
years to a team led by Computer Sciences Corp. for upgrade of its
non-spying computers and communications equipment. ...
The deal is one of the biggest handoffs yet to a private contractor
of work previously done in-house by U.S. government employees. The
CSC team will hire on at least 750 NSA employees to perform some of
the work.

June 29 -- Under a contract announced Wednesday by the Bank of
Canada, EDS has agreed
to provide all business operations supporting the sale, customer
service and redemption of savings bonds issued by the Government of
Canada. The 9.5-year, US$271 million contract takes effect on
September 1, 2001. …
About 500 Bank of Canada staff will join EDS Canada as part of the
outsourcing agreement. Retail debt program operations will transfer

Space and Telecommunications, Inc. of Falls Church, VA, a

indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts for the Defense
Information System Network (DISN) Satellite Transmission Services -
Global (DSTS-G). The maximum cumulative face value for all three
